The North Cascades have always been home to me. Many summers in the Wenatchee Okanogan NF as well the Lake Chelan area. I appreciate having the ability to drive a short distance North to some of my favorite Hiking Trails. I have had the pleasure to spend time in Methow Valley to teach for the Shafer Museum Log Preservation Workshop. I look forward to what future adventures lie ahead in my North neighboring state.
We were hired for two weeks to train and empower six to nine volunteers to make a series of preservation and conservation improvements to multiple structures owned by Shafer Museum located in Winthrop. Prior to the activity, we were hired six months before to perform an assessment on the property to identify its current needs and compile documents for the museum to pursue funding.
